On May 26, 2021, the oratorians in Tappan gathered with the friends of the Oratory to celebrate St Philip Neri’s life. In a simple but profound celebration that took place in St John Piermont Church, the Emeritus Provost reminded the faithful presents how saint Philip’s legacy can be carried out today in our daily life, by remaining Joyful and cheerful.
Rev. Tom Kunnel C.O. was installed as pastor of the newly merged parishes of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Kings Highway, Tappan, and St. John the Baptist Church, Piermont Ave., Piermont. The Installation Mass was held inside OLOSH Church on Feb. 14.
The provost of the New York Oratory communicated this to the Christians in these words: Dear Parishioners of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart and St. John the Baptist parish. As you have at least partially already known, His Eminence Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York Archdiocese issued two decrees, both effective as of December 1, 2020: 1. Merging of the parish of Our Lady of the Sacred heart and of St. John the Baptist into one. 2. Appointing the Rev. Thomas Kunnel, C.O. as the new pastor of the merged parish.
PIERMONT, New York- Members of the New York Oratory of St. Philip Neri and the Lay Associates of Hallel Institute gathered at St. John the Baptist Parish for their weekly Seder tradition on October 8, 2020. Fr. Tom Kunnel, C.O., Administrator, and his parish staff prepared hospitality for this special gathering to mark the occasion of Provost Fr. Vladimir Chripko’s birthday.
TAPPAN, New York- Fr Joseph Ravi Narisetty was aggregated as a full member of the New York Oratory of St Philip Neri. In a modest ceremony led by the Provost Fr Vladimir Chripko, evening prayers were said before the call and presentation of the candidate to be aggregated.

The members of the New York Oratory of St. Philip Neri were blessed to share a retreat together in Long Beach Island, New Jersey during the first week of Summer 2020. Through the generosity of a St. Paul and St. Ann parishioner, the Oratorians were provided with accommodations in this peaceful and picturesque seaside town. All Oratorians shared in the retreat, being joined for the first time by Steve Neier, in the first probation (formation) with the New York Oratory since May 2020.
On Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 in Celebration of the Feast of St Philip Neri, the NY Oratory had the joy to welcome Steven Neier into the oratory for the first year of formation. It's after 6 months of a come and see experience, a period in which Steven had enough time to share the most important moment of life with other oratorian members and decided to move on a further step. As the feast of St Philip Neri was celebrated on 25th, the Oratory chose Wednesday as a community day to welcome Steven.
It was a great moment as it may happen to those who have resumed work with colleagues after a couple of months in the deep “stay home” guidance and social distance recommendation. On Wednesday, May 13th, 2020 the Oratory had its first meeting no more behind the camera but in person. Though happy to meet each other, the members maintained the 6 feet “social distancing” and mask-wearing rule to abide with guidance for the safety of all and to abide by the state guidelines for whoever tries to resume a small gathering program.
Monday, 24th March 2020: In a video conference, the oratorian fathers came together to meet and get updates on how they are responding to the new way of life that this challenging situation has brought. It was a good time to assess ways that should be put in place in order to keep closer to the people of their parishes. Few initiatives like with the streaming of daily masses were already giving a good result, as last Sunday more than 1000 viewer were registered.
February 12, 2020 – Tappan The member of the New York Oratory in their ongoing formation program welcomed Chris Mahoney, director and owner of The Mahoney Group for a training in financial asset management. The afternoon program consisted of Chris presentation with one of the Mahoney staff.

The New York Oratory of Saint Philip Neri organised it's first annual convention at The Graymoor Spiritual Life Center. From 3 PM, November 3, 2019 until Noon, November 5, 2019 the members of the Congregation Oratory took an unprecedented decision to walk away from our daily duties, to go to a retreat place and to spend time together to strengthen the bonds of our community
A year-long celebration of the founding of St. Ann’s Parish in Nyack in 1869 began Saturday, July 27, with an anniversary mass, the unveiling of the new St. Ann & St. Joachim street sign on the corner of Third Ave. and Jefferson St., and a pot-luck supper for all who attended.
This Sunday afternoon, more than 70 people gathered around Fr George Torok and his family to celebrate the anniversary of his priestly ministry. The celebration started at 1:30 PM with the con-celebration of the Mass with the Oratorian fathers and Deacon Robert.
In this month of November, let’s listen to our Pope, who remind us the need to pay attention on the refugees. He invites our contries and each one of us to be compassionate towards them and to do our best in participating to this church emergency need.
